Ballybrown is located 6 miles west of Limerick city on the N69. The village of Clarina, which has expanded in recent years, is flanked by Ballybrown R.C. church to the north and Ballybrown G.A.A. Club just south of the crossroads in the village. The Ballybrown Journal is in operation since 2001 and has been very successful.

The purpose of the Journal is to give an insight into the everyday lives of the community and to chronicle the events that happened throughout the year.

The Journal is a non-profit making publication undertaken by the Ballybrown Pioneer Association P.T.A.A. and it can be bought for €10 [plus post & packing] each year.

The total proceeds from the sale of this publication goes towards our "Pioneer Lourdes Fund" and ensures that local people who are going through some trauma in their lives can go on a pilgrimage Lourdes.

Thank you to all our sponsors for supporting the journal.
